Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
This policy explains what information Uncomfortable Calendar ("we") collects, why, and how you can control it.
Information we collect
- Account info: your name and email address, either entered directly or provided by Google or Facebook when you sign in with those services.
- Password: if you sign up with email, we store a one-way hashed version of your password — never the password itself.
- Challenge history: which daily challenges you were shown, whether you completed them, and your reroll usage — used to track your streak and calendar.
- Billing status: whether you're on the free or ad-free plan. Payment details (card numbers, etc.) are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store them.
How we use it
Solely to run your account: keep you signed in, track your streak, remember your challenge history, and manage your subscription if you upgrade.
Third-party services
- Google Sign-In and Facebook Login — optional ways to sign in without a password.
- Stripe — processes payments for the ad-free plan.
- Google AdSense — shows an ad before each reroll for free-plan accounts. AdSense may set cookies to select and measure ads; see Google's ad policy for details.
- Google Analytics — helps us understand overall site traffic (page views, general usage patterns). It does not receive your name, email, or challenge history. See Google's privacy policy for details.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. Google Analytics and, for free-plan accounts, Google AdSense may also set their own cookies to measure traffic and ads.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your account and challenge history until you ask us to delete it. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email jamesspporter@gmail.com from the address on your account — we'll confirm once it's done.
Children
Uncomfortable Calendar is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
